Deep Ellum Spotlight Stage
Collide Over Me was formed in Memphis, Tennessee, in 2013 by guitarist-turned-vocalist Shawn Fitzgerald (formerly of Rail and Surrender The Fall). Joining him were Daniel Dwight (ex-Saving Abel, The Fairwell) on bass and Vince Hood (ex-Rail, Dazed and Confused) on drums. Their debut single, “What’s Left of Me,” was recorded by David Cowell (Sleep Theory producer) and later featured in the motion picture I’m Not Ashamed. Following Dwight’s departure, Greg Edmondson (formerly of Breaking Point) stepped in on bass. The band soon began work on a four-song EP, also titled What’s Left of Me, which was released in 2015. In 2014, the band went on hiatus when Fitzgerald joined Harvest Mill as a touring rhythm guitarist. After returning, he relocated to Fort Worth, Texas, and revived Collide Over Me in 2017 with a new lineup featuring Pete Franco (ex-Hazeland, Legacy) on lead guitar, Dale Sprankle (ex-Pulse) on bass, and Austin Ervin on drums.
