Hope Hendrix, the founder of Sonic Volt has a long history with Deep Ellum, playing shows with her former band, Draven. Guitarist Evan Whitington has an even deeper connection to Deep Ellum having played in numerous bands and worked as a sound guy at nearly every major venue in Deep Ellum. Sonic Volt’s previous lineup played at the Deep Ellum Community Arts Fair in 2024, which was their first gig! Although Hope Hendrix had to rebuild the band in late 2025, Sonic Volt is back and better and stronger than ever!!
