GETTING TO THE FAIR
Riding Dart
If you choose to use the DART light rail, the two stations close to the Deep Ellum Community Arts Fair are the Deep Ellum Station and the Baylor Station. Use the DART trip planner tool (https://www.dart.org/guide/transit-and-use/dart-schedules-and-maps) to plan your trip in advance.
You can purchase single ride tickets or consider a DART Day Pass for unlimited rides during the fair weekend (April 5-7, 2024). If you choose to drive to a DART station and take the train, some stations offer parking garages or lots. Check the DART website for details and fees.
Rideshare Apps
Deep Ellum has designated ride-share zones to improve traffic flow and accessibility, pictured on the map.
Be aware that ridesharing pick-up and drop-off is not allowed within the core area of Deep Ellum during peak hours, so plan to use the designated ride-share zones located on the outskirts of the neighborhood.
Keep in mind that big events may kick in surge pricing, so you may want to book your ride in advance.
Parking
Finding parking in Deep Ellum, especially during a large event like the fair, can be tricky. Here are some guidelines to help you navigate your options:
Check our travel map for private parking lots and parking structures throughout Deep Ellum. These offer a more guaranteed spot but come with a fee. Rates can vary depending on the lot and proximity to the fair.
- Be prepared for limited street parking availability near the fairgrounds on Crowdus Street.
- Pay close attention to street signs for time restrictions and permit zones. Parking illegally can result in tickets or towing.
- Arrive early to increase your chances of finding street parking.
