Mixed Media
Pea Ridge, AR
I have spent time living abroad and traveling. Experiences in Portugal, Morocco, and Hong Kong have expanded my scope both spiritually and artistically. Other practices, including yoga, dance, and alternative medicine have contributed to my inspired process. My work has changed over the years. I began my interest in art when my Mom put me in one oil painting class at the age of 8. I have searched for creative ways of expression ever since. I modeled from age 15-25 and while in the beauty industry I paid for my Bachelors of Science in Alternative Medicine. After graduation I went on to receive my 500 hour certification in Hatha Yoga. I now live in Bentonville AR with my Mom, and Grandmother and get to work on my Art Practice daily. Alongside my geode work, I create large scale mixed media abstracts that explore the organic and elemental. These works display the expansiveness of cosmic atmospheres, the shifting surface of earth seen from above, and the depths of the sea. My intention is not to create and exact replica of these images, but to invite interpretation. I believe perspective is in the eye of the beholder, and each viewer brings the work to life in their own way. Through scale, texture, and fluid composition, my pieces become open landscape and spaces where imagination has a place to expand.
