I am primarily a self taught Texas artist. After 20 years as a commercial artist I have spent the last 25 years doing art fairs and rediscovering what art should be. My art has always been an exploration. For the last 25 years I have experimented with different styles and techniques painting myself in and out of popularity and loving every minute of it.

What does Deep ellum mean to me?
Deep Ellum is one of the few islands of sanity in a more and more complex world. A sanctuary in a more and more divided world. To me it is a place that shows the world that there can be communion, tolerance and peace. A place where everyone can feel welcome. As the world changes so too Deep Ellum changes but at the heart it will always be an oasis of peace.
