My images are a reflection of the magic that lives within the natural world from the viewpoint of a child as they discover and experience our planet. Children bring a fresh point of view to the world allowing them to be awestruck by what adults have come to view as commonplace. The art I create is my attempt to reset our view of the world as grownups and reacquaint us with the wonder in our world. Currently I am a retired surgical nurse having spent over 25 years in the operating rooms of various hospitals around the DFW metroplex. Within my experinces in healthcare are the 6 years I spent working in the OR in Parkland Hospital, a level 1 trauma center. Parkland was an outstanding place to learn about the art of surgery and medicine in general. Before becoming a nurse I worked as a cameraman in the motion picture industry for over 20 years. It was there that I had the opportunity to work with some of the best cinematographers in the world. During that time I was able to dive deeper into the art of cinematography as I performed my duties within the camera department on major motion pictures, television shows and commercials.
