Igimèjí is an alt-R&B band from Dallas- Fort Worth, Texas. While they currently reside in Texas now, the story of Igimèjí­ truly started in Kathmandu, Nepal where Ladi Oyediran (guitar/vocals) and Kayla Scales (keyboard/vocals) started playing at a local bar for tips. It was also during that time that Kayla and Ladi wrote "Magic", their debut single. Upon returning to the US, Ladi and Kayla met Jelen Farrow (drums) and played several gigs at open mics, clubs and other events. In 2021, they released their debut EP Two Trees which was eventually met with local recognition. Around this time they officially added Aaron Payton (bass/background vocals) and started making music videos and a YouTube channel. They released their latest and most widely received single Crazy(for you) in summer 2023; currently they are recording their album which they hope to release this coming summer.
