I am the artist @chelseascreename, an art brut that works in epoxy resin collage. My artwork is bright and eclectic exploring feminist topics. My current art series IN FERTILITY has explored women’s reproductive issues including my own psychological journey in dealing with an infertility diagnosis. With my series I explore the deeply personal and psychologically complex emotions in a woman’s emotional and physical reality. My IN FERTILITY series has won a spot in the Emerging Artist Category of the Bayou Arts Festival in Houston, and as a featured artist with highest Jury score at the Luminaria Arts Festival in San Antonio. I was able to show at the Deep Ellum Community Arts Fair last year and was my highest grossing show of the year. Frankly, I felt like the Belle of the ball, and I am psyched to be able to apply to attend this year as well.
