Blind Eyed is a line of uniquely ice-dyed upcycled and new (couture-ish) clothing and artwork. Due to a rare genetic eye disease, Stargardt’s Disease, I am legally blind and have lost much of my central vision. Since ice dying doesn’t require fine detail, it is more forgiving than other artistic expressions.
What began as a “fun family activity” has become my passion and it is continuously evolving. I’ve recently expanded my collection to include ice-dyed canvas (for display). My overall goal, with everything I make, is to create one-of-a-kind pieces that blur the boundaries of rebellion and “sophistication”.

What does Deep ellum mean to me?
Although I grew up in Ft. Worth many trips were made to Deep Ellum. I have to say the first thing that comes to mind when I hear “Deep Ellum” is the Lizard Lounge, because that was the place to be way back when. Deep Ellum was always the place where you fit in by being weird. The best tattoos were always done in Deep Ellum.
