I learned about my gift of creativity through painting in middle school and took summer class when I was 12 to learn Miniature (Traditional Persian Painting) recommended to me due to my ability to paint details well. My passion for art was overruled by my traditional parents obligating me to pursue a more secure future. While studying for my doctorate degree, building my own family of four, and surviving in a new country I migrated to, painting was my savior through them all. After thirty years, I’m no longer accepting to suppress my gift and am finally unleashing this creative energy. As a self taught artist and a literature enthusiast, I combine the hidden wisdom of mystical poetry and the beauty of colors in painting to create an ambiance for enlightenment, healing, and transformation. I would be honored to become a part of deep Ellum community as the first artist community in the journey of my rebirth.
