Short Bio: Reuben Lael is a dynamic R&B singer and songwriter hailing from Dallas, Texas. With a soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics, he has captivated audiences with his unique blend of old-school R&B and contemporary pop influences. Growing up in a musical family, Reuben was exposed to a wide variety of genres from an early age, which helped shape his distinctive sound. He has performed at numerous venues throughout Texas and has shared the stage with many notable artists in the industry. In addition to his music career, Reuben is also a passionate advocate for social justice and empowerment, and his music often reflects these themes. With a growing fanbase and a wealth of talent, Reuben Lael is an artist to watch in the R&B world. Extended: Bio Singer/songwriter, local activist, and educator. During the pandemic, Reuben has used his platforms and artistry to help bring new awareness to advocacy and voting to all, especially his generation. He then released his latest single STAND UP as SOUl/R&B with a likeness as a modern-day What's Going On or Change Is Gonna Come providing motivation and inspiration to all persons and backgrounds. This song has a powerful message for all. Following in the steps of his father and mother, he organized ""Pack the Polls"" car caravan through communities in Pleasant Grove, South Dallas, and Oakcliff to encourage residents to vote.“I just can’t sit back no longer, lessons learned when I was younger”, are powerful lyrics says Reuben, that shines a light on his childhood watching his parents who served in politics and the church. He penned this song as Call To Action for the current generation to be the change they want to see in America. The song has received overwhelming support and aired on CBS 11 and TXA 21 during its feature on the 35th Black Music, and the Civil Rights Movement Concert hosted by The Black Academy of Art at the Dally Symphony Myerson. When Reuben isn’t on stage, He works with nonprofits and civic organizations in Dallas including the Our Vote Our Voice voting coalition for his fraternity Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He is also a national board member for the National Urban League Young Professionals leading the communications team in branding their initiatives to support policy change, voter engagement, and community outreach. Most of all he loves impacting the lives of children as an educator; using fine art to motivate and inspire children to succeed in life academically and creatively. A proud graduate of Southern University and A&M College with a bachelor's and master's in political science and public administration. He has 10+ years of career experience as a university administrator for various colleges including the Dallas County Community College District and the University of Texas at Dallas. Like his father, Reuben is an entrepreneur and creative director of a brand design company that aims to creatively support business owners and small businesses by providing high-quality media content. He is the proud son of the first black Garland ISD school board trustee Linda Lorraine Reed-Griffin and Rev. Dr. Roosevelt Almond Griffin, Founding Pastor of St. Mark Baptist Church in Garland, TX. "
